Day 1 : Adelaide - Port Augusta - Roxby Downs
Your chauffered car will pick you up from home and drop you at Our Aust-wide tours Depot 101 Muller Rd Hampstead Gardens for our 8am departure.  We travel through Port Wakefield to Snowtown for our morning cuppa then continuing on to Port Augusta for lunch (own cost). After lunch we travel through Woomera and visit the heritage and visitors centre looking at the historic displays of the rocket range and activities by Len Beadell and on to Roxby Downs, where we stay for the next 2 nights. Day 2 : Roxby Downs - Olympic Dam - Roxby Downs
After breakfast we pick up our local guide and tour Roxby Downs township followed by a surface mine tour of Olympic Dam with a video and full commentary.  Lunch is free time in Roxby (own cost). This afternoon we travel out to Andamooka and visit the opal fields with a tour to find out about the history of  this opal mining town from it’s early beginnings to modern day, returning back to the Roxby Downs Motor Inn with time to freshen up before dinner. Day 3 : Roxby Downs - William Creek - Coober Pedy
Today’s travels take us on some outback roads as we make our way up the Boarfield Road and meet the Old Ghan Railway line.  We follow the old route past Curdimurka, famous for the Curdimurka Outback Ball, William Creek and on to Coober Pedy.  Here we Check in to the motel before making our way to the Breakaways From the lookout, the locally named “Castle” or “Salt & Pepper” can be seen in an easterly direction. While Panorama Hill situated in the middle, As the day goes by, the passing of the sun changes the desert colours, creating photogenic scenes that appear surreal, then returning to the Motel for dinner (B L D)

Day 4 : Coober Pedy
Our first stop is The Catacomb Church Originally built in 1977 this unique church is cut out of the sandstone, the cross, lectern, and communion table fashioned from local mulga wood and an old miner's winch. Opal was discovered in Coober Pedy in 1915 and the area is the main supplier to the world of this precious stone.  To escape the extremes of heat and cold, most of the townsfolk choose to live underground. Our first stop for the day is the Umoona Opal Mine & Museum "The Story of Opal" an eighteen minute documentary, is shown in underground cinema. Permanent display of fossils from South Australia Museum. A breathtaking collection of some of the finest opals can also be found here.  Time for lunch in Coober Pedy (own cost). After Lunch we visit Tom's Working Opal Mine, has been around since '1988'.  1 hour tour with an experienced tour guide. The guide will demonstrate how to use the Tunnelling Machine, Auto-Bucket, Bosun Winch and Jack Hammers and see opal seams in the wall. Visit The Big Winch. Before returning to the motel (B D)
 
 
Day 5 : Coober Pedy - Adelaide
After an early start .We make our way back to Adelaide. Traveling back through Pimba, Woomera Port Augusta and arrive at approx. 7.00pm (B)
