Day 1 : Adelaide - Mildura - Hay
Your chauffered car will pick you up from home and drop you at Our Aust-wide tours Depot 101 Muller Rd Hampstead Gardens for our 7.00am departure. We travel the Sturt Highway to Waikerie, where we make a comfort stop, with time for a cuppa. Moving along through Renmark we make our way to Mildura for lunch (own cost). After lunch we carry on along the Sturt Highway through Euston, Balranald, and Hay for our overnight stop, with time to freshen up before dinner. (D)

Day 2 : Hay - West Wyalong - Forbes - Parkes - Dubbo
After a cooked breakfast we follow the Mid Western Highway through the Murrumbidgee Irrigation areas, across the Kidman Way to West Wyalong and join the Newell Highway to the town of Forbes beside the Lachlan River. Bushranger Ben Hall was shot by police just outside this former gold mining town and today within the town is a Bushranger Hall of Fame. Continue north to Parkes – named after Sir Henry Parkes, who was a major player in the lead-up to Australian Federation. Today the town is the commercial centre for the surrounding important agricultural area. Just a few kilometres north is the famous giant CSIRO Radio Telescope. Marvel at the 64m steel paraboloid, location of the movie ‘The Dish’. At Peak Hill there is a working gold mine with a lookout offering views of the mine. Continue to Dubbo and accommodation for the night (B D)

Day 3 : Dubbo - Narrabri - Inverell
After breaky we depart Dubbo and travel on the Newell Highway through Gilgandra and Coonabarabran for a morning Cuppa. Before arriving in Narrabri we visit the Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA), at the Paul Wild Observatory, is an array of six 22-m antennas used for radio astronomy, we have a look in the theatrette with its frequent screenings outlining the operation of the Telescope. We then continue into Narrabri for lunch. Farewelling Narrabri we make our way to Mount Kaputar National Park and view the Swan Rocks and see the unique, organ-pipe cliff face. Boarding the coach we continue to Inverell for the next 2 nights (B D)

Day 4 : Inverell - Saphires - Inverell
This morning we board the coach and head bush where we try our luck with some fosicking for Sapphires on one of the local propertys (Inverell is the worlds sapphire capital) be fore we have lunch in town After lunch we take time out and visit the towns Information centrre It has a huge photographic display together with many brochures Video viewing is available and the Centre boasts a Mining Museum, showing the District's proud mining history. There are not only local gems that are on display, but beautiful specimens from around the world. Some local produce is available together with a wide collection of souvenirs. We then take in the National Transport Museum with over 120 vehicle exhibits and other attractions include Dolls, Wedding Dresses and Cake Icing. The day almost over with time to relax and have our evening meal. (B D)

Day 5 : Inverell - Grafton
We board the coach and have a country drive taking in the Copeton Dam, Copeton Dam is almost 3 times the size of Sydney Harbour and the dam was built across the Gwydir River in 1976 and its primary use is for irrigation water storage. Then we Stop at Olives Of Beaulieu where we Walk through and see different varieties of Olive trees, Olive Oil tastings, Exotic Spice Blends, Olive products sales and learn about the health benefits of Olive products. We then take in The Pioneer Village, You can wander at your own leisure through buildings set in picturesque surroundings, landscaped as a village of yesteryear. Places of interest in the village include The Grove Homestead, Paddy's Pub, a Blacksmith's Hut, Miner's Hut, Oakwood Hall, the Times Office and the Gooda Cottage. After lunch we make our way to Glen Innes and through to Grafton for the next 3 nights (B D)

Day 6 : Grafton Jacaranda Day
Grafton is at its very best when the Jacaranda trees erupt in mauve blossoms in Spring and today we are here to enjoy the spectacle of the Jacaranda Festival. We have the opportunity this morning to wander through the markets to view the many stalls selling local wares. This afternoon we admire some local open gardens before free time to enjoy the festivities. Today is Parade Day* so we will have the opportunity to see the Grand Float Procession* down Prince Street before returning to the motel for a slightly later dinner (B)

Day 7 : Grafton - Tucabia - Grafton
We take a look around Grafton this morning. The town is situated on the broad Clarence River, surrounded by river flats. Grafton is a gracious, historic city famous for its Jacaranda trees, originally planted in the 1870s by a local seed merchant. We are joined on the coach by a local guide who will give us a sightseeing tour of town. Next we head out to the small village of Tucabia. Here we visit the Squatters Rest Private Museum. Surrounded by vintage tractors, engines and farm machinery there are 16 old style buildings including a replica 1880 cookhouse.We’ll enjoy a tour of the old house and take a look at the fascinating range of rural memorabilia followed by lunch. From here we head to Junction Hill to visit Lanbruk’s Gunyah – a property belonging to Dorothy and Don Enders. Here we’ll be taken on a tour through the Olive grove, We have the opportunity to browse through the gift shop to admire local handicrafts and, of course, pick up a supply of the organic olive oils produced here. There is even a museum housing the fully restored and still running, 1926 Chevy Utility. From here we return to our motel for dinner (B D)

Day 8 : Grafton - Kempsey - Port Macquarie
Packing the coach we travel to Coffs harbour and visit the Butterfly house. The Butterfly House offers visitors the opportunity to stroll amongst hundreds of live Australian butterflies in an indoor subtropical rainforest setting. Time to move along to The Slim Dusty Museum at Kempsey. The exhibition features objects and images from the Kirkpatrick family’s own extensive archive, as well as contributions from fans and friends from all over the world. Visually rich and astonishingly varied, the display provides a look into Slim’s first steps into show business, the early years of adventures with Joy and their mates touring the towns and villages of Australia. We then make our way to Port Macquarie for our overnights stop. (B L D)

Day 9 : Port Macquarie - Singleton - Dubbo
Departing Port Macquarie this morning we make our way South on the Pacific Highway to Singleton for our lunch stop before traveling through the Great Dividing Range to Dubbo for our overnight stop. (B D)

Day 10 : Dubbo - West Wyalong - Hay - Balranald
It’s all system go and don’t spare the horses, journeying through the rich agricultural areas of Parkes and Forbes on the way to the old mining town of West Wyalong. Follow the original bullock track of the “crooked mile” along what is now the main street where it used to weave its way around gold diggings and old tree stumps. Balranald beckons, but we must make “Hay” first crossing the Murrumbidgee enroute to our overnight stop. (B D)

Day 11 : Balranald - Adelaide - Home
After another cooked breakfast we pack the coach and make our way through Mildura to Renmark for our lunch stop (own cost). We continue along through Waikerie and Truro to Adelaide (approx 5pm) where we say goodbye until we see each other on another tour. Your cars will be waiting to take you home. (B)
