DAY 1                  ADELAIDE - HORSHAM - SPIRIT OF TASMANIA                           D
Your Car will pick you up from home (in the metropolitan area) in time for our 6.15am departure
from  Adelaide. We will have several comfort stops and a luncheon stop along the way to Melbourne, crossing the Westgate Bridge before arriving at Station Pier Port Melbourne to board Spirit of Tasmania for our overnight cruise to Devonport departing at 7.30pm After enjoying dinner in the Waves Eatery, explore the many interesting on-board features including the shop and entertainment areas.  Enjoy the cruise down Port Phillip Bay and settle into your twin berth cabin complete with private facilities

DAY 2                                 DAVENPORT - BEACONSFILED-LAUNCESTON                     B D
After berthing in the Mersey River we travel to a nearby venue for breakfast. Time to board the coach and make our way to Beaconsfield and visit the Mine and Heritage Museum, site of the mine disaster an miraculous rescue . You will be entertained with the interactive displays and  live a story around  every corner with buttons to push leavers to pull and tunnels to crawl through. Time to make our way to Launceston where the highlights include the city Centre and Cataract George with its cliff side gardens, peacocks, pool,, suspension bridge and one of the longest single span chairlifts in the world (ride is optional and own expense) before arriving at our next two nights accommodation. DAY 3                                  TAMAR VALLEY - CRUISE - LAUNCESTON                              B
This morning we tour the picturesque Tamar Valley to Beauty Point we visit Sea Horse World. Seahorse World at Beauty Point, Northern Tasmania, is a unique Australian Government and United Nations approved breedingfor these (IUCN red list) endangered species providing a captive-bred alternative for aquariums around the world, We then visit Platypus House This is an amazing Tasmanianworld experience not to be missed. Platypus House offers a once in a lifetime opportunity to watch both live Tasmanian platypuses and echidnas in daylight conditions and undercover. We travel back to Launceston then we join the Boat for a cruise on the Tamar River, Cruise into the magical Cataract Gorge and through Launceston's riverfront precinct. Head north past Tamar Island and experience the variety of life as we cruise past charming riverfront communities, we return to the motel, tonight's dinner is at your own leisure.
 
DAY 4                             LAVENDER FARM - SCOTSDALE - ST HELENS                     B D
We pack the coach and make our way to Bridestowe Lavender Estate. Bridestowe grows true
French lavender the only lavender variety suitable for use in perfume and cooking. We have a talk and tour. We continue east through agricultural Scottsdale, Branxholm and former tin-mining
centre of Derby. Visit Legerwood and view the War Memorial Tree Carvings, honouring the fallen
soldiers of the region. Tour the myrtle rain forest of Weldborough Pass before descending to the
East Coast to St. Helens for overnight accommodation overlooking the blue waters of the Tasman Sea. Tidal Waters Resort 03 6376 1999
 
DAY 5                            EAST COAST - TASSIE DEVIL - HOBART B D
Travel this morning beside the Tasman Sea, stopping off at the East Coast Nature World to meet
a Tasmanian Devil and ride the ‘Pelican Express’. Continue to the east coast resort town of
Bicheno to tour the Gulch Fishing Harbour and view the Blowhole before taking in views of the
jagged, granite peaks of Freycinet Peninsula, Moulting Lagoon and Maria Island. Pass through
Swansea and pause at the enigmatic, convict built Spiky Bridge. From Orford follow the Prosser
River Valley through historic Buckland before heading for the historic town of Richmond. Here you may view the spire of Australia’s oldest Catholic Church from beneath the arch of our oldest
stone bridge still in use. Wander the streets of this delightful Georgian town and discover the arts
and crafts, bakeries and tea rooms, from there we take in your first view of Mt. Wellington and the Tasman Bridge before heading to the  Wrest Point Casino Motel. This will be our home for the next 4 nights. Wrest Point Casino Ph 03 6225 7035
DAY 6                                                   HOBART FREE DAY                                                   B
Wake up to a day of rest and relaxation. Today is your day to indulge your own special interests
and choices – perhaps you would like to take a a Tour To Bruny Island, Wilderness Flight to the
South West?  -   Or a Cruise on the Derwent River? Maybe you would just like to relax, explore
the Museums  and Salamanca Markets- absorb the history and ambience – the decision is entirely yours, tonight's dinner is at your own leisure
 
Day 7                                         HOBART- IDA BAY- HOBART                                              BLD
This Morning we make our way through Huonville, Franklin, Geeveston to Ida Bay. Australia's most southern railway. Step aboard the historic WW11 Diesel locomotive and enjoy an unforgettable 2 hour journey alongside the waters edge, through bush plains and enjoy the history talk from your tour guide. We have lunch on our return from the train.  This afternoon we make our way to Hasting and have time for a dip in the thermal pool which is fed by pure spring water which maintains a constant temperature of 28 degrees Celsius all year long.  We board the coach and make our way back to Hobart.
 
DAY 8                                      HOBART - PORT ARTHUR - HOBART                                    B D
This morning we head to the Port Arthur Convict Settlement where within its 40 hectares of
landscaped grounds lies a rich history of Australia’s past. Included in the entry is a guided walking tour, a short cruise across the harbour, access to the Visitor Centre and Interpretation Gallery as well as more than 30 buildings, ruins and restored gardens and houses - explore as you wish
before departing the Historic Site to tour the geological sites of the Tasman Arch, Devils Kitchen
and Eaglehawk Neck. Continue along the Highway taking in the Norfolk and Frederick Henry Bays heading to the City of Hobart and back to the motel
 
DAY 9                                           HOBART TO QUEENSTOWN                                       B D
Departing Hobart this morning we follow the Derwent Valley through hop fields and hills to New
Norfolk. Continuing westward, climb the Central Plateau through trout-lakes country where rivers
have been harnessed for hydro-electric power and roads carved from the wilderness. Experience
the wonders of Gondwanaland during a short bush-walk in the Wild Rivers National Park to Nelson waterfalls. Approaching the copper mining town of Queenstown, observe the altered landscape of bare, colourful hills as we cross the Linda Valley and descend Mt. Owen. Tour the town before checking in to accommodation for the next two nights at the Queenstown Motor Inn 03 6471 1866.
 
DAY 10                                   MACQUARIE HARBOUR - STRAHAN                                   B L D
An early departure for the port of Strahan this morning, cruise the incomparable Gordon River into the heart of Tasmania's wilderness and the edge of World Heritage region.  Cross vast  Macquarie Harbour, visiting Sarah Island, the worst convict settlement of them all - follow the  Gordon River through stands of ancient Huon pine, sassafras and myrtle rainforest to step ashore for a wilderness board-walk at Heritage Landing. Voyage to Hell's Gates, the aptly named harbour entrance where many early ships were destroyed by ferocious ocean swells. On return to Strahan, there will be opportunity to explore the Village including the Visitor Centre and Huon Pine saw mill. Return to Queenstown.
 
DAY 11                                   QUEENSTOWN – CRADLE MOUNTAIN                                 BD
This morning we hop on the ABT Railway. The Rack and Gorge is a spectacular half day steam train journey departing Queenstown Station and traveling to Dubbil Barril along steep grades of the rack and pinion that the West Coast Wilderness Railway  is renowned for. The King River Gorge and the old growth rain forest complete the experience.  Sit back in the comfort as your guide brings stories of the railway and its resilient people and a way of life. Discover how the feud of the Irishman helped shape the wild west coast. We farewell Queenstown and traverse the Reid volcanic zones for views of the Tyndal Range and Lake Plimsoll in through Henty Anthony Valley on route to Tullah. Continuing  through the rain forest and mineral rich mountains crossing the alpine cattle country to reach Cradle Mountain National Park. We check into the Cradle Mountain Hotel with time to view the Wilderness Gallery before dinner.

DAY 12                                      CRADLE MOUNTAIN – BASS STRAIT                                BD  
This morning we board the shuttle bus to dove lake  at the foot of the cradles Mountain and visit Waldheim. Forest home of pioneer Gustav Weindorffer. Experience what life was like for Kate and Gustav as they established Waldheim chalet over 100 years ago. Departing Cradle Mountain we make our way to Sheffield, dominated by the Majestic Mt Rowland.  While in Sheffield we admire the evocative outdoor art gallery of impressive murals. Winding our way to the township of Railton where you can view the many displays of topiary throughout the town. Then we have a visit to Elizabeth Town and Ashgrove Cheese for an informative visit and tasting. Finally onto Davenport to settle on board the spirit of Tasmania in your twin berth cabins and our overnight cruise to Melbourne                                                               
 
DAY 13                              PORT MELBOURNE HOME TO ADELAIDE
Early risers may witness the entry through the Heads into Port Phillip Bay, and watch the Melbourne City skyline come into view.  On arrival at Station Pier around 7am, disembark to re-join your coach.  We have breakfast before we depart Melbourne for our return to Adelaide, arriving
