After our hearty breakfast we board the coach and travel the Western Highway through Melbourne, where we join the Princess Highway and travel through Pakenham and Morwell where we have our lunch break (own cost). After lunch we travel through to Bairnsdale to view  St Mary's Roman Catholic Church. It looks more like an Italian church than an Australian one. The reason: an Italian painter named Francesco Floriani, who worked in the area during the Depression, was commissioned to paint the interior of the church. The result features murals, stations of the cross, and a ceiling which features hundreds of figures in its contrasting depictions of heaven and hell. Then continuing to Lakes Entrance. This will be our home for the night. Time to settle into our rooms before dinner and retiring in your own time ()

After our cave visit, we have time for lunch, we then make our way to Mingling Waters Museum at Nowa Nowa, and view the Ramsdell Museum Collection. This display has 35 unique wood sculptures and 750 gemstones, the majority of which were collected locally. Our final stop for the day is at Lakes Entrance, and a round of mini golf, before returning to the motel (B L D)
