Day 2 : Bendigo - Castlemaine - Maldon - Bendigo
We start the day with a hearty cooked breakfast before we board the coach and make our way to Castlemaine where we meet a guide. The guide will join the coach and show us around the Historical town of Castlemaine.  Due to the immense riches which poured into Castlemaine in the 1850s and early 1860s, substantial administrative, commercial and private buildings emerged far more quickly than in many other centres. Moreover, the town ceased to grow when the alluvial gold dwindled and so the older buildings were deemed adequate for the town. Consequently many of the CBD's structures date from that early period. Lunch time upon us is in the main heart of the city (own cost). After lunch we board the train for Maldon. We travel through Mucklefield to Maldon on the railway built in 1881 (Steam weather permitting) We have a tour of Maldon specifically taking in one of the best vantage points in town from atop Anzac Hill which furnishes views of the Grampians, Mount Franklin and Mount Macedon in the distance. Returning to Bendigo for a well earned rest before dinner. (B D)

Day 3 : Bendigo - Christmas Day
Today we start with a relaxing drive through Strathfieldsaye to Lake Eppalock with a cuppa stop (provided). Lake Eppalock Goulburn-Murray Water manages water storage, delivery and drainage systems, involving 70% of Victoria's stored water. It operates on a cost recovery basis and provides for the ongoing refurbishment of infrastructure of the system. We continue our travel via Heasthscote back to Bendigo for our scrumptious  Christmas lunch. The afternoon is free to put our feet up before we have another bite to eat for dinner. (B L D)

Day 4 : Bendigo - Sights - Bendigo
Today we board the coach for our local sightseeing day. Our first stop is the Golden Dragon Museum for a guided tour and some stories of the early Chinese history,  We then move along to the Famous Bendigo Pottery, Australia's Oldest Pottery for a gander at the products they have made and a self-guided tour following the trail. We have time for shopping and lunch in the city centre. After lunch we take in the Bendigo Talking Tram which includes a tour of the tram depot and tram ride. Our final stop for the day is Confectionary Capers; here we celebrate the wheel, the English language and LOLLIES. Time to make our way back to the motel, for dinner. (B D)

Day 5 : Bendigo - Adelaide
Time to farewell Bendigo, pack the coach and travel  through St Arnaud, Horsham and on to Nhill for lunch (own cost).  Travel through Bordertown to Tailem Bend for our final break before we reach Adelaide at approx 6pm where your cars will be waiting to take you home. (B)
