THE WORLD'S LARGEST CORNISH FESTIVAL   Held bi-annually in the towns of Kadina, Moonta & Wallaroo. Held in every odd-numbered year in the Copper Coast region of Yorke Peninsula, South Australia, the Kernewek Lowender attracts visitors from all over Australia and indeed from all around the world. The name "Kernewek Lowender" was chosen - it means Cornish happiness in the Cornish language   The first main event of the Kernewek Lowender weekend, the Village Green Fair is held in Kadina’s main street and town square, and always attracts thousands of people. With its street party atmosphere, features include the famous Maypole Dance, the traditional Cornish Furry Dance, the introduction of the crowned Kernewek Lowender May Queen, and live musical performances.
