We travel through Port Wakefield, Snowtown to Port Augusta where we visit the Wadlata Outback Centre and step back in time and travel through to modern times.  Lunch is own cost.  After lunch we travel through the Pichi Richi Pass to Quorn, onto Hawker, Parachilna and finally Leigh Creek Tavern with time to freshen up before dinner. (B D) Leigh Creek Outback Resort   Day 2 : Leigh Creek - Arkaroola After breakfast we make our way to Farina. We have time to walk about Farina’s ruins. Farina being lovingly transformed from ruins to town by devoted volunteers, with plenty of signs to show and explain to you what once was there, returning for lunch at Copley After lunch we proceed to Arkaroola, via Iga Warta and check into our accommodation and have time to freshen up before dinner. (B D) Arkaroola Widerness   Day 3 : Arkaroola - Arkaroola This morning we take the famous 4WD ridge-top tour, including morning tea, where we see many geological features and stunning scenery from the top of Sillirs lookout with plenty of photo opportunities before returning to the Village for lunch (supplied). This afternoon there is time to put your feet up in the tranquil surroundings or perhaps take one of the short walks on offer.  Dinner at the Village. As an Option you may wish to join in on an evening at the Arkaroola planetarium to go stargazing in this unpolluted, dark outback sky. (own cost) (B L D)     Day 4 : Arkaroola - Waterholes -Wilpena After our breakfast we hop on the 4-wheel drives and take in the Waterholes experience. We marvel at the scenic beauty, timeless geology and even spot Yellow-Footed Rock Wallabies, Ring Necked Parrots, Euros and Wedge-Tailed Eagles to name but a few.  We stop at Bolla Bollana Spring and then out to the old Bolla Bollana Copper Smelter with a quick stop at the old Police Station and Post Office ruins. Next is the majestic and mysterious Nooldoonooldoona Waterhole,before traveling back for lunch (supplied).  After our thrilling morning tour we farewell Arkaroola, pack the coach and travel along some outback roads back to Wilpena  Creek with time to freshen up before dinner. (B L D) Wilpena Pound Resort   Day 5 : Wilpena - Blinman - Wilpena This morning we make our way to Brachina Gorge. Brachina Gorge meanders its way through sharp sawtooth ridges of resistant quartzite. This spectacular gorge was once used as a pass-through where bullock teams pulled their loads. It is now a favourite picnic and camping area called “Brachina”. We take a break at Parrachilna before we continue our journey to Blinman. We follow the Parachilna Gorge as it snakes through the Heysen and ABC ranges seeing spectacular summits and rock formations. We take a break at Blinman (lunch supplied).  After lunch we make our way  past the Great Wall of China, Stokes & Hucks Lookouts and into Wilpena. The rest of the afternoon is free. Another option is to take a flight around the “Pound” (approximately $23p.p. for 30 minutes ~ own cost ~ longer flights may be available at extra cost. (B L D)     Day 6 : Wilpena - Burra - Adelaide We depart Wilpena Pound mid-morning en route to Adelaide. Pass through Orroroo, Peterborough and Burra for lunch (own cost) before arriving at our depot approximately 5.30pm. Where you cars will be waiting to take you home. (B)
