Today we enjoy the sights of Brisbane beginning at Newstead House. Built in 1846, it is now Brisbane’s oldest standing European residence and tells the story of early colonial life in Brisbane. Next, we make our way to Southbank to ride the Wheel of Brisbane and enjoy the views of the city. We have time to purchase lunch before travelling back to our hotel to freshen up before our special night in Brisbane. Tonight, we head to Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium for The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo performance. The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a globally celebrated event featuring military and cultural performers. Rooted in centuries-old Scottish tradition, the Tattoo is renowned for showcasing the culture and spirit of Scotland through stirring Massed Pipes and Drums, Highland dance, and vibrant displays of tartan and precision performance. The Brisbane edition marks the exclusive Australian leg of the 75th anniversary milestone show, The Heroes Who Made Us, celebrating the Tattoo’s rich history and spotlighting local heroes. With over 1,000 performers from around the globe, this once-in-a-lifetime Stadium Spectacular promises to captivate audiences with music, precision drills and cultural performances. (B D)
